Fame – The Musical

30th July-4th August

The King’s Theatre, 297 Bath St, Glasgow G2 4JN

Three decades on from the curtain up that signalled the start of its first staged performance at the Coconut Grove Playhouse in Miami Florida, Fame: the Musical is coming to Glasgow’s iconic King’s Theatre as part of a new seven month UK tour commencing Summer 2018.
Sellador Worldwide, producers of Footloose, Avenue Q, Little Shop of Horrors and Flashdance present a bold new stage adaptation of the cult musical developed from David De
Silva’s 1980 film chronicling the trials and tribulations of a group of students attending the High School of Performing Arts in New York City.
Featuring a soundtrack littered with magical numbers familiar to audiences across the globe, including Out Here On My Own and the titular song Fame, and star turns from a cast including star Keith Jack (Any Dream Will Do, Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat), Mica Paris (Love Me Tender, Chicago) and Jorgie Porter (Hollyoaks, Dancing On Ice), this twenty-first-century presentation of ‘80s nostalgia is guaranteed to thrill audiences nationwide.
